Mines, who is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, first began drawing at the age of ten. While many in Luxembourg may know him as the former owner of the advertising agency MIKADO, he has dedicated himself to painting full-time since retiring.
A selection of his recent works will be showcased at Pétange's Maison de la Culture on 18 June at 6.30pm. In the meantime, art enthusiasts can explore his paintings and sketches on his Instagram and Facebook pages, both under the username minespaintings.
