For the 29th edition of the annual Luxembourg Museum Days, 36 museums throughout the country will be welcoming visitors free of charge this weekend, 16–17 May, inviting the public to explore their collections and exhibitions without an entry fee. Participating museums will be open from 10am to 6pm on both days.

In addition to the permanent and temporary exhibitions usually available, the cultural weekend will offer an expanded programme, including workshops, guided tours, performances, and concerts tailored for both children and adults.

Some activities require advance booking directly with the individual museums. To ensure availability, visitors are advised to consult the official website at luxembourgmuseumdays.lu.

The Luxembourg Museum Days are organised annually by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) as part of International Museum Day on 18 May. This year, the theme 'Museums Uniting a Divided World' focuses on the role of museums in fostering dialogue, understanding, inclusion, and freedom among diverse communities worldwide.

According to ICOM, museums play a crucial part in bringing people together, bridging social, cultural, and political divides, and offering spaces for unity in challenging times.

In 2025, the Luxembourg Museum Days attracted 18,783 visitors, and organisers are once again anticipating a large turnout over the weekend. Alongside the Nuit des Musées – which is held exclusively in Luxembourg City's museums – Luxembourg Museum Days is one of the largest annual opportunities for the public to discover the country's many museums.
