In one week, the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest will take place. Luxembourg’s candidate, Eva Marija, has already arrived in Vienna, where she is rehearsing for her semi-final performance.

If all goes well, she will represent Luxembourg in the final on 16 May. The delegation has now arrived in Austria, and the singer is taking time to familiarise herself with her new surroundings, having already completed her first rehearsals.

The official launch of this year’s Eurovision event is set for Sunday afternoon. The traditional “Turquoise Carpet” ceremony marks the start of the contest, during which each nation presents itself to the international press, and singers give hundreds of interviews.

You can watch the Opening Ceremony of the Turquoise Carpet live this Sunday from 4.55pm on RTL Play and RTL.lu.

The semi-finals

The first semi-final will take place on Tuesday. RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg will begin live coverage from Vienna shortly after 7pm, with the semi-final broadcast starting at 9pm.

On Thursday, RTL Radio will broadcast live from Vienna from 10am to 2pm. In the evening, the second ESC semi-final will air on the radio at 9pm, featuring Eva Marija’s performance for Luxembourg.

On RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg, live coverage from Vienna is scheduled after 7pm. Following the news bulletin, a documentary about the Luxembourg Song Contest will air at 8pm, ahead of the second ESC semi-final broadcast at 9pm.

The grand final

Saturday evening’s events begin at 7.55pm with the weather forecast, presented by last year’s ESC representative Laura Thorn. At 8pm, the ESC Warm-up will be broadcast live from the Stadthalle in Vienna, before the grand final kicks off at 9pm – hopefully featuring Eva Marija for Luxembourg.
