A spokesperson for Cindy Crawford confirmed the death of her son, Presley Gerber, to US broadcaster CNN. “The family requests privacy during this very difficult time”, the spokesperson said.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner stated that Presley Gerber died on Sunday in a rehabilitation facility. No cause of death has been disclosed. Born in 1999, he was the first child of Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber. His younger sister, Kaia Gerber, was born two years later.
Like his mother and sister, Presley Gerber worked as a model, representing brands such as Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein. He also appeared in advertising campaigns for Pepsi and Omega, and was featured in publications including GQ Style.
Presley Gerber had previously spoken publicly about his mental health challenges and struggles with substance abuse.
