
Easter is just around the corner, and families across Luxembourg have plenty of opportunities to celebrate with egg hunts, themed activities and unforgettable experiences. From historic castles and dinosaur museums to swimming pools transformed into Easter wonderlands, here are eight fun activities to enjoy with children during the Easter holidays.
On 4 and 5 April, the 17th-century French Château de Preisch, located close to Luxembourg, will host its traditional Egg Easter Hunt in the gardens of the beautiful castle. A total of 3,000 eggs will be scattered throughout the park, along with surprises, including a golden egg.
Whoever finds it will win a giant chocolate egg. All participants need are good shoes and a basket for collecting eggs.

The Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des 3 Vallées in Belgium, about one hour and 50 minutes from Luxembourg, offers a special Easter train ride full of surprises. Children will receive sweets during the journey, and a mascot parade will take place.
After the ride, an Easter egg hunt organised by age groups will follow.

At the Musée de l’Ardoise in Haut-Martelange, the Easter Bunny has lost his eggs in the museum. During the Luxembourg school holidays, children can embark on an adventure to solve riddles, explore the museum, and find the delicious eggs.

At the Musée Archéologique du Pays Thionvillois – La Tour aux Puces, a unique Dinosaur Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday 4 April 2026. Dinosaur eggs have mysteriously spread across the globe.
Children aged four and above must find them before they hatch and turn the museum upside down.
