This lovely outdoors café and snack bar under the trees is situated right next to a nice playground for kids. There is even a small train that takes you and the children around the gardens! As well as spotting beautiful plants and flowers, you might also see people playing chess outdoors, or reading books on the grass.
2. Brasserie Op Der Gare Kéinzig, Kaerjeng, Luxembourg
This converted train station is now a brasserie boasting a lovely terrace, with a great playground and lots of nice open space. It is super popular for families and we can see why!
3. Al Schwemm Brasserie, Diekirch, Luxembourg
Once a swimming pool, the Al Schwemm restaurant is now a laidback venue where you can enjoy traditional cuisine on the banks of the Sûre river. It has a terrace overlooking the "an der Sauer" playground too, the perfect spot to relax with a drink and comfy seating while the children amuse themselves.
4. Mess Café, Reckange-sur-Mess, Luxembourg
This restaurant offers Italian dishes and is situated next to a nice playground, as well as a mini football pitch and an open air gym.
5. Brasserie de Rochehaut, Bouillon, Belgium
This is an extremely popular destination for families: a kid-friendly brasserie next to an animal park in Bouillon, Belgium. If you visit, don't miss the Panorama de Frahan, not far from the restaurant, where you can enjoy amazing views of the Semois river and surrounding valley.
6. Patisserie Hoffmann, Bridel
For an outing closer to home, visit this bakery for coffees, teas, cakes, a terrace and a small playground for a nice little break.
7. Platanen Café and Ulanen Pavillion, Saarbrücken, Germany
The Ulanen Pavillion has a beer garden and outdoor bar, as well as the Platanen café and snack bar 100 metres away, next to the Am Staden playground. Enjoy a drink in lush green surroundings, and keep an eye out for events such as arts and craft markets, or a wine festival.
8. Brasserie Elmen, Olm, Capellen, Luxembourg
A relatively new place to have drinks, snacks, and food, this brasserie in Elmen Park has a small playground nearby, perfect for kids to let off some steam.
