National Health Fund CNS expects nursing insurance-related surplus to exceed €49 million next year. This year, the surplus of the proceeds lay at €45 million.
At the same time, the costs covered by the nursing insurance rose by 9% - a steep increase due to higher wages paid to nursing staff and a 4% increase in patients.
A total of 905,000 people are protected by nursing insurance. One third of them do not live in Luxembourg.
