Customs officials at Findel airport noticed a suspicious shipment when checking documents, and proceeded to investigate. The shipment consisted of feather mattresses from Los Angeles, with a final destination in Germany.
Officers discovered packets of cannabis concealed in two of the six mattresses. In total, 45.86kg of cannabis were confiscated.
The German authorities were informed of the discovery. An investigation has been launched into the matter.
