After former Differdange mayor and Member of Parliament Roberto Traversini resigned from all his political roles, his role as president of the Pro-Sud syndicate has been filled.

The southern syndicate represents eleven municipalities that have come together to promote the southern region's development.

CSV councillor for Mondercange Anouk Boever-Thill will take over the roll, having beaten Dudelange's LSAP mayor and MP Dan Biancalana in the vote. Boever Thill received 19 votes to Biancalana's 16.

Esch-sur-Alzette's mayor Georges Mischo (CSV) will remain vice-president and the new representative for Differdange is Fränz Schwachtgen.
