
At around 10.10 pm on Monday night (20 May), the police were called to a a block of flats on Route de Boevange in Bissen because a man was making excessive amounts of noise.
As the police arrived, the man completely 'lost it'. Flying into a rage, he became violent and threatened police officers with a knife.
As backup arrived, the man was outnumbered, overpowered and immobilised. The man was charged and fined on the orders of the Court.
Near the central station in the Gare area of Luxembourg City, a pedestrian was attacked by a number of persons on Monday evening. They stole the pedestrian's money and made a run for it. The police were later able to identify the attackers over the course of the night and make their arrests.
In another incident, this time in Dudelange, two young men became aggressive towards a taxi driver at around 1.20 am.
At first they wanted to know the fare to get to Esch, but then they suddenly started beating the driver and damaged the taxi.
Both offenders escaped heading in the direction of Gare-Usine, but were apprehended by police shortly thereafter.
At about 6.15 pm on Monday, a person on Route d'Ehlerange in Esch suddenly found an intruder in their home.
The young man must have been about 20 years old, had black curly hair and was wearing black jogging bottoms and a grey jumper. He managed to run away from the scene and the police have launched an investigation.
Between 8.30 m and 0.45 am, there were alcohol controls at Eecher Plaz, on Route d'Arlon and in Hesperange.
The police reported on Tuesday morning that they stopped 192 drivers and that the test came back positive on one sole occasion.
