Grevenmacher's sunken carAuthorities retrieve vehicle that rolled into Moselle river
On Tuesday, a car parked near the Moselle river in Wellen (Germany - across the river from Grevenmacher) rolled into the river, presumably as the handbrake was not working.
On Thursday morning, the German authorities managed to remove the car from the Moselle. A team of professional divers from Trier's fire brigade located the vehicle and managed to haul it out.
It took the authorities two and a half hours to find the vehicle and remove it from the river.
An attempt was made on the dame day that the car was first submerged but it was not successful.
