After Lilyblad's CSV resignationBetzdorf: a future of cooperation with the local council

RTL Today
Since Tuesday, Betzdorf's political prospects have become clearer.

What would happen in the Betzdorf council wasn't quite clear after Christopher Lilyblad resigned from the CSV (Christian Social People's Party) the day before the European election candidate list was published. The problem mainly consisted of the loss of a majority in the LSAP (Luxembourg Socialist Workers' Party)-CSV coalition in Betzdorf.

The LSAP council advisors Jean-François Wirtz, Reinhold Dahlem and Frank Bourgnon, alongside the CSV council advisors Marc Ries and Sylvette Schmit and the independent council advisor Christopher Lilyblad put out a statement that future collaboration was still fully anticipated.

Consequently, they may not establish a new or alternative coalition.

The cooperation ensures the continuation and fulfilment of the political agenda as well as future stability.
