Hunter's FederationCarole Dieschbourg's procedure was illegal and undeserving, claims Georges Jacobs

The Minister for the Environment Carole Dieschbourg fired Georges Jacobs from his role as teacher for the hunters' exam. The federation claims this procedure is illegal.

The Minister for the Environment Carole Dieschbourg faced sharp criticism from the Hunters’ Federation during their general meeting on Sunday morning.

The reason behind the uproar is the minister's decision to fire the federation's president Georges Jacobs from his duty as a teacher to prepare budding hunters for the hunter's exam. Only after he was fired, Jacobs was allegedly told that he lacked expertise and that more women should be included in the education of hunters. He deemed this procedure illegal. He also explained that he perceived the minister's decision as undeserving as he has taught hunters for years. It was an insult to the entire federation, he said.

Georges Jacobs further wondered about the position of green ideologists, saying that their aim is to always to enforce their ideas, whether or not they are responsible ones. He added that green politics were of a left-liberal nature and that Luxembourg's green party was faced with an image problem considering the vast amount of construction, or import of fruit and vegetables by Cargolux from all over the world.

According to Jacobs, they were therefore trying to prove that they are still "green" - even if this comes at the expense of others.
