Police officers went to a man’s home in Consdorf on Tuesday to collect his weapons after his firearms permit had expired.
When told the reason for their visit, the man became increasingly uncooperative and initially refused to hand over his weapons.
The situation then escalated, with the man repeatedly trying to push past an officer to get back into his home.
Faced with this resistance, the officers had to restrain him. During the incident, an altercation also broke out involving two other people at the scene.
Police eventually brought the situation under control, and the man agreed to hand over his firearms, along with the corresponding magazines and ammunition.
All items were taken into temporary police safekeeping, and the expired permit was also surrendered.
A report has been filed for resisting the police.
