The roads and bridges authority has announced that the construction site will last a further two weeks longer than initially expected due to an "unexpected issue."
The roadworks will consequently last until 20 June.
However, the construction site in the opposite direction (towards Schengen) will be complete as of 11.30pm on Thursday 6 June.
