Luxembourg Urban GardenCountry's first horticultural exhibition postponed to 2025

RTL Today
Though initially planned for 2023, the pandemic has brought about too many issues to stay on schedule, officials from Luxembourg City announced jointly with Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development Romain Schneider.

Officials noted that the lack of in-person meetings and the shortage of certain goods and materials contributed to the delay. Furthermore, the project faced budgetary issues, and the initial maximum of €10 million in support had to be increased to €22 million, Minister Schneider explained.

Ann Muller, who is the general coordinator of the Luxembourg Urban Garden project, announced that a new strategy has been worked out, but was unwilling to convey any details since there remain a number of administrative challenges.

Meanwhile, Luxembourg City Mayor Lydie Polfer took a moment to underline that the postponement of the horticultural exhibition has nothing to do with the naturalisation processes in Grund, which are expected to be finished come spring 2023.
