There is not much information available at the time of publication, but RTL received information at 2pm concerning a house on fire in Bollendorf. Initial reports suggest that a Luxembourgish woman and her toddler suffered minor smoke inhalation but are otherwise unharmed. The two were taken to hospital.
According to our sources, Luxembourgish firefighters were deployed in putting the fire out, since Bollendorf lies just over the border in Germany. The Echternach and Bollendorf-Pont fire brigades were at the scene. Luxembourg's Air Rescue helicopter was also on hand to provide help, but left with no passengers.
