The CGDIS (Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps) update was rather full on Wednesday morning, with fires in Kehlen, Tuntange, Dudelange, and the City's Gare area.

After 5pm Tuesday 23 April, seven fires broke out throughout the country.

Luxembourg emergency services reported several fires and smoke.

The first incidents occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Bissen and Kirchberg where two bins caught fire, the circumstances surrounding these incidents remain unknown.

A short-circuit in an electrical installation in Weimerskirch, smoke emanating from a shop in the Luxembourg city station area, as well as in Belvaux (Rue Wassertrap) and a fire in a ruin at Dudelange on the Route de Volmerange all followed.

Another electric device caught fire at around 3am on Rue du Bois in Tuntange and involved the intervention of several firefighters.

Finally, shortly after 3am, an electrical control panel caught fire in Kehlen, rue d'Olm. Here too, several stations were mobilised.

Despite numerous incidents, emergency services report good news: no one was hurt.
