The cooperative has been working on creating fairer living conditions in Luxembourg for four years, and now, the first communal space is to be built in Kirchberg.
It is the first project of its kind in Luxembourg: a space that revolves around sociability, environmental awareness, and low-cost living. The main goal of this project to create a stable community, with communication at the forefront.
The project includes 35 planned flats, as well as a co-working space for creative companies working in graphic design. A small eco-restaurant is also to be included, with a greenhouse on the roof providing some of the restaurant's produce.
Aside from still searching for the ideal businesses to fulfil these duties, the cooperative is still on the lookout for motivated individuals to participate in the initiative.
The beginning of 2020 will start with the technical side of planning so that building works can commence six months into the year.
The apartments are not and will not be up for sale: they will beup for rent once people join the Adhoc cooperative. While the actual construction has not started, there is already a strong incentive towards generating more equal living spaces in Luxembourg.
