Around 11.30am, the Grevenmacher-Mertert fire brigade was called into action to extinguish a fire in a field near the Aire de Wasserbillig.
Another field caught fire near Eschweiler at 2pm. Firefighters from Kautenbach, Wiltz, Esch-sur-Sûre, and Colmar-Schieren were at the scene to extinguish the flames.
Another fire affected a field on Rue des Champs in Kayl. Local firefighters were called to the scene where they received support from the Esch-sur-Alzette brigade.
In Binsfeld, yet another fire broke out in a field, which was extinguished by the brigades from Weiswampach, Troisvierges, and Colmar-Schieren.
