A Grand Ducal regulation was published on 13 December 2019, outlining a number of roads that are prohibited from use in the event of snow or ice.

The government has publicised the routes that are subject to road closures in snowy or icy conditions. Ahead of the 2019/2020 winter season, 29 streets have had traffic signs with the words "in the event of snow or ice" (en cas d'enneigement ou de verglas) installed. During such weather conditions, it will be prohibited for any drivers to use the roads or affected stretches of the roads in question.

The regulation does not replace these roads being gritted, as some will continue to be gritted. Nevertheless, the driving ban will still be applicable.

Consequently, as of 17 December, particular routes crossing Stafelter, Flébour, or the CR226 will be barred to drivers during snowy or icy conditions. For the full list of affected roads, consult the table below.
