CGDIS (the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps) were made aware of the fire in the late hours of Sunday afternoon. Initial information suggested the fire it situated near the SNCT facilities in Esch.

Later reports revealed that the fire was in a supermarket, and witnesses said they heard a small explosion prior to the fire breaking out. The fire is now under control.
