In a press release issued on Friday, the CHEM management said the audit had been conducted following allegations of bullying among the hospital teams, interviewing 28 people as part of the investigation.

Management acknowledged that "grave dysfunction" had existed within the hospital staff for an extended period of time, but said the team of directors had not been kept in the loop regarding these issues.

The audit said there were "latent conflicts" that had not been solved in a constructive manner, thus leading to psycho-social issues among the teams in question.

A plan of action should help to avoid such situations in the future, as well as assuring employees' well-being. This plan should include the sponsorship of new executives to enrich psycho-social and relationship skills, as well as the creation of a conduct and ethics commission which will ensure compliance with the code of practices.
