D'Automobilisten um Parking "Place Auguste Laurent" dierften net schlecht staunen, wa se de Protokoll an hirer Fënster gesinn. Dat Ganzt ass awer "Fake".

The prank was carried out by students in their final year at the LGL secondary school in Luxembourg. On Friday morning, the enterprising pupils left a series of parking tickets on nearby cars, claiming the vehicles in question had been badly parked.

The punishment for these so-called transgressions was a €5 fine, to be transferred via Digicash to "Saint Nicolas", or alternatively paid in cash at the car park exit.

Traditionally, pupils in their last year of secondary school celebrate St Nicholas Day, or Kleeschen, by dressing up as the big man himself and distributing treats to their fellow students, as well as playing pranks on others.
