
At a press conernece in Paris on Tuesday 17 December, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) announced the names of more than 110 exoplanets and their stars.
Over 110 countries entered the 'competition', requesting public participation and inviting proposals as part of the IAU100 campaign "Name an Exoplanet".
From the twelve pairs of names put forward in Luxembourg, a pre-selection of three pairs of names was submitted to a public vote among visitors to the Science Festival (November 2019)
