A major fire broke out on the roof of a building in Mondorf-les-Bains in the early hours of Saturday, requiring a large-scale emergency service response, though no injuries were reported.

A fire broke out shortly before 2am on Saturday on Avenue Frantz Clement in Mondorf-les-Bains, with the roof of a building catching fire. Emergency services from the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) quickly responded with significant resources to bring the blaze under control.

Authorities confirmed that there were no injuries.

Firefighters from Mondorf-les-Bains, Remich, Dalheim, Frisange, Schengen, as well as the technical support group and paramedics from Remich, were all involved in tackling the fire.

By 7.40am, the CGDIS reported that the main phase of the intervention was over, although a smaller team would remain on site to extinguish remaining hotspots.
