
Rescue teams from the Nordstad centre and from Colmarberg, together with the emergency doctor from Ettelbruck, were dispatched after a motorcyclist fell on the B7 towards Fridhaff at 5.27pm. According to initial reports, the motorcyclist came off the road on a bend and crashed onto the hard shoulder. He sustained serious injuries in the accident and, after receiving initial treatment at the scene, was transported to the hospital for further treatment.
In Ansembourg, firefighters from Alebësch were alerted to a burning bin at around 7pm. A further fire occurred a few minutes later in Berbourg on the Rue Nicolas Wagner, where a barbecue had caught fire. In both cases, no one was injured.
At Findel, a larger incident occurred at around 7.33pm, with rescue services from Luxembourg City, Mamer, Mertert, Findel, Hesperange, Niederanven and Sandweiler attending to the scene. A mattress had caught fire on the street Beim Haff, which left one person injured.
On the Gaalgebierg and in Baschleiden, a garden shed and waste dumped in a meadow, respectively, had also caught fire. The rescue services from Esch, Schifflange and Bascharage were deployed, and no one was injured.
Shortly after 2am, a pedestrian was hit by a car in Esch-sur-Alzette on the Boulevard J.F. Kennedy. According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) bulletin, the pedestrian was not injured. Ambulance staff from Esch and firefighters from Kayl were on the scene.
At the Polvermillen in Luxembourg City, a car crashed into a wall at 2.33am, injuring one person. The emergency doctor and rescue services from Findel and Luxembourg City attended to the injured person.
A final incident occurred in Steinsel on the Rue de Bridel, after an automatic eCall had been sent. Ambulance staff from Luxembourg City and firefighters from the Steinsel-Walferdange centre were on the scene.
