The police patrol was stationed near the Aire de Berchem service station as a motorist sped past at 211 kilometres per hour. The police officers followed the speeding motorist and stopped him near Howald.
The man was fined and had his licence confiscated immediately.
The police had several traffic stops dedicated to testing alcohol levels planned on Tuesday night in Ell, Redange-sur-Attert, and Bettborn. In total, officers stopped 319 motorists.
Four of those drivers tested positive for alcohol and received fines. One of the drivers had their licence confiscated due to their high blood alcohol content.
