One point on the agenda includes a debate on a new draft bill that would allow seriously ill people, who for instance receive oxygen at their home, to have the necessary equipment delivered to them. This would render recurring trips to hospital pharmacies redundant.
In November, an orientation debate will take place in the Chamber of Deputies that will see MPs discussing the lessons that can be learned from the Covid-19 pandemic on a medical and sanitary level.
A different orientation debate will revolve around further developments in health policy. Prior to this debate, a hearing on the staff shortage in the country’s hospitals will be organised.
MPs will also continue to discuss the legalisation of cannabis, a topic which is already on the agenda of the Commission’s next meeting.
