Four people were hurt in a single collision on Thursday, while further injuries were reported for five others in a short period of time.

One person was hurt when a motorbike collided with a car on the A3 towards Metz, near Livange, at 5.35pm on Thursday evening.

In Bettembourg, a lorry trailer caught fire in the Wolser B industrial zone on Thursday evening, leaving one person with injuries.

Shortly before 7pm a pedestrian was knocked down by a bus on Rue de Bonnevoie in the capital, requiring paramedic treatment at the scene.

Four people were injured in a collision between two vehicles at 7.40pm. Three ambulances and SAMU attended the incident, which occurred on the road between Graulinster and Junglinster.

Two more people were hurt in a kitchen fire on Rue Dr Jean-Pierre Knaff in Esch-sur-Alzette.

Three more accidents on Friday morning

On Friday morning, a car and a moped were involved in a collision on Rue de Neudorf, near the petrol station, at 8.43am. The incident blocked the crossroads until around 10.30am. Police and local emergency crews were on the scene.

One person sustained injuries in a collision on the A1 near Cents tunnel at 7.49am.

Finally, another accident on the N5 between Bertrange and Dippach left one person injured on Friday morning.
