The cause of the fire was a cooking pot in a kitchen on Avenue Grande-Duchesse Charlotte. The fire broke out just after 5pm.

There was a large-scale deployment of firefighters to extinguish the fire, with both the Dudelange and Schifflange fire brigades at the scene, as well as the Ginzebierg platoon leader.

The police and an ambulance also responded to the incident, but thankfully there were no injuries.
