A 33-year-old Romanian national was extradited to Luxembourg by the German federal police in Trier on Wednesday morning, following a period of detention in Germany.
According to the federal police inspectorate in Trier, the woman had been held in custody in Koblenz prior to her transfer. She now faces charges of money laundering and fraud across multiple cases in Luxembourg. The handover took place at the Wasserbilligerbrück border crossing, where she was formally transferred into the custody of Luxembourg authorities.
The case is now expected to proceed through the Luxembourg judicial system.
