The Scouts and Guides of Luxembourg (LGS) have not only lost an extraordinary human being when Grand Duke Jean died, but also lost their Chief Scout.

Scouting brothers and sisters from the National Scout and Guide Federation of Luxembourg (FNEL) and Scouts and Guides of Luxembourg (LGS) paid their last respects to Grand Duke Jean on Saturday with an honorary march from different starting points.

Together, they walked to the Pétrusse valley to form a ‘goodbye chain’. Another 250 Guides and Scouts formed a guard of honour as the coffin was being carried to the cathedral.

During the honorary march, Scouts and Guides sang the song Ce n’est q’un au revoir before joining the funeral procession and forming their guard of honour. 30 Scouts and Guides also formed a guard of honour at the end of the religious ceremony.
