An accident happened on the A6 at around 3am on Sunday. The driver admitted that he had fallen asleep behind the wheel and had crashed into a truck at full speed. His drivers licence was confiscated.

At around 1.30am, the police also noticed a car which was standing on the hard shoulder on the A6 in direction of Belgium. The driver stated that he had hit the concrete barrier, as he wanted to avoid a collision with another vehicle. An alcohol test was carried out and came back positive, so the driver lost his licence and was fined.

Further licences were confiscated near Schumannseck, in Echternach, two in Esch, and in the early hours of Sunday morning near Gare in Luxembourg City, where someone ran a red light twice. The driver was checked for alcohol and his license was seized.
