Police have arrested a suspect believed to be behind the slanderous graffiti that appeared in Luxembourg City over the last couple of days.

For several days, police had been looking for the person behind a series of slanderous and nazi-related tags around the city. The tags appeared on both private and public property.

Following their investigation, a person was arrested in the capital in the night between Wednesday and Thursday. Initial reports suggest the man was in a state of mental distress, and was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Complaints have been filed in in relation to all the vandalism cases.
