At around 3.30pm, police stopped a car on the A4 near Foetz following a period of erratic driving. The driver took a breathalyser test and was found to be over the limit.
Overnight another motorist was checked in Bonnevoie after zigzagging across the road. Once again, the alcohol test yielded a positive result.
Finally, a third driver was caught on Rue Ste Zithe in the capital at around 3am, as they attempted to reverse out of a parking space and struck a police vehicle in the process. The driver then continued on their way despite police signalling them to stop, but officers caught up with the car after a brief chase.
All three drivers had their licences confiscated on the spot.
