
The first incident took place in Rue du Canal in Esch-sur-Alzette. Around 10.30pm, a police patrol observed the respective driver speeding, who then hit the breaks once he noticed the authorities. Although the driver still tried to escape by going through a narrow alley, officer were able to stop the vehicle soon after.
The subsequent alcohol test came back positive, which is why a driving ban was awarded. Since the other passenger was also too drunk to drive, the car needed to be immobilised. Once the driver understood what was happening, he turned aggressive and began insulting the officers at the scene. Charges were pressed as a result.
Another drink driver was caught in Rue du Cimetière in Luxembourg City. Officers found that the man was speeding around 1am., after which they stopped the car and checked his alcohol levels. In the end, his license was revoked and charges were also pressed.
