Police have asked for anyone with information on the man and woman pictured to come forward. The two individuals are suspected of having withdrawn cash using a stolen debit card last March. The police still do not know by what operating mode they managed to steal the card. The victim was allegedly relieved of her means of payment in a grocery store on Rue de Luxembourg in Esch-sur-Alzette.

According to her testimony, the theft occurred after a woman accompanied by a child begged the victim for money.

Once the card was stolen, several cash withdrawals were made at cashpoints and payments were recorded at petrol stations in Esch-sur-Alzette and Rodange, as well as abroad.

Anyone with information to identify these people and locate their place of residence is encouraged to contact Esch-sur-Alzette police on (+352) 244 501 000.
