The men exited the truck at roughly 7.00am, as the vehicle was stuck in a traffic jam. They then fled on foot in the direction of Mamer.
As the police reports in a press release, there were a total of five men that jumped out of the truck.
Multiple police patrols were mobilised and a police helicopter took part in the wide spread surveillance.
In the mean time, three persons have been arrested, but there is, as yet, no trace of the other two.
The three men arrested this morning are thought to be refugees with different backgrounds. Inquiries are being made as to why they were travelling in said vehicle why they felt they felt the need to flee. They were brought to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The search operations ended at around 9:30.
The police asks the general public to report any suspect persons in the Mamer area directly to the police by calling 113.
