The most recent Politmonitor survey, conducted by TNS-Ilres in collaboration with RTL and the Lëtzebuerger Wort, revealed that the governing parties would win an additional three seats in parliament should a vote take place. The major opposition party, the CSV, continues to lose votes among the general population, according to the report.

In November 2019, prior to the Covid outbreak, around 30% of those polled said they would vote for the CSV. In November 2020, this figure has dropped by 4,4% - losing 2% in the last six months alone.

Luc Biever, director of TNS-Ilres, said the largest opposition party had lost significant support since the last election in 2018. In a comparison based purely on percentages, the CSV lost just 3.2% of the vote; but in terms of what this loss would mean for the Chamber, an election this week would see the opposition lose 4 of their 21 seats, dropping to just 17.
These seats would primarily go to the LSAP and the DP, although the ADR party would take one. According to the survey, the Green Party would also experience a loss of support, dropping by 4.4% to just over 15% of the vote.

Biever explained this put the Greens back in their 2013 position, while the ADR, in contrast, is gaining in support, almost reaching the 10% threshold. Statistically, Biever said this put the two parties fairly close together in terms of voter intention.
In contrast, the LSAP and the DP rank around the same in terms of support, gaining almost 20% of the vote apiece.

Generally, the government's activities have met with approval, with 43% of participants saying they were happy with the ruling parties' work. In contrast, the opposition's work was approved by just 15% of those questioned.
