On Sunday morning, shortly after 7am, police were called to a road accident in Bonnevoie's Verlorenkost. The woman at the wheel claimed she tried to avoid a wrong-way driver, causing her to mount a traffic island before crashing into a guardrail. As it subsequently emerged, the woman herself was over the legal alcohol limit. A driving ban was issued and an investigation launched.

Later that night, police were alerted to an altercation between a group of individuals and security staff at a nightclub on Rue de Bouillon in Hollerich. Several patrols were dispatched to the scene, where four intoxicated and agitated people were found. Deemed a danger to themselves and others, all four were taken into custody.
