Strikes at Lufthansa continue, with three flights already cancelled at Findel Airport on Friday.

The industrial action has been ongoing all week, involving both cabin crew and pilots. After pilots walked out on Monday and Tuesday, and cabin crew followed suit on Wednesday and Thursday, pilots have now resumed their strike. The dispute remains centered on demands for a new collective agreement and improved working conditions.

Passengers should expect further flight cancellations throughout Friday. According to the Lux-Airport website, three Lufthansa flights are so far affected: the 8.20am service to Frankfurt, the 9.40am to Munich, and the 4.45pm to Munich. The 8.10pm flight to Munich is still listed as “scheduled”.

Meanwhile, Saturday will mark the end of the line for Cityline, a Lufthansa subsidiary that operates only short-haul flights. All 27 of its planes will be grounded, officially due to the strike as well as high kerosene prices.
