The cruise ship MSC Euribia was blocked in the Strait of Hormuz until Saturday. The vessel has since left the region and is currently returning to Europe, operating with a technical crew on board.
The first cruise carrying tourists is scheduled to depart on 16 May, followed by the anticipated Pentecost cruise, which will set sail from Kiel on 23 May. The Pentecost cruise has become an annual fixture for many Luxembourgers.
Berny Ley, Managing Director of Voyages Flammang, confirmed that customers booked on the Pentecost cruise will not be affected by the earlier blockage. He explained that passengers have been kept well informed about the situation in recent days, and the cruise will depart from Kiel as planned.
