Émaux de Longwy, the historic French ceramics manufacturer, remains in judicial restructuring as it awaits a crucial court ruling now postponed to 26 February.
The decision, initially expected on Thursday, will determine the future of the 226‑year‑old company, which has been under court protection since 2024. Supporters have already raised more than one million euros through a crowdfunding campaign, with 300 people participating in a capital increase to help stabilise the business.
Founded in 1798, Émaux de Longwy is renowned for its handmade, colourful enamelled ceramics and is considered one of the emblematic names of French fine craftsmanship. But the company has come under significant financial pressure amid a difficult economic climate.
