
While 25 departments had already implemented stricter curfew measures, the entirety of France is now back to a 6 p.m. curfew, starting last Saturday and set to last for at least 15 days.
The announcement was made by PM Jean Castex on Thursday. France's number of cases have remained elevated over the past weeks, recently recording 21,217 confirmed cases within 24 hours.
When it comes to the curfew, the rules remain the same as before: businesses will have to close at 6 p.m., and private citizens may only break the curfew for professional reasons, medical appointments, or emergencies.
