After securing a 2–0 away win in Malta last Thursday, Luxembourg aimed to confirm that strong position – and did so convincingly with a 3–0 victory. Compared to the first leg, the team showed clear improvement and more attacking intent. Despite a few shaky moments in defence, the Red Lions secured a 5–0 aggregate win, ensuring they remain in League C, where they will face Iceland, Bulgaria and Estonia next season. Malta, meanwhile, stay in Group D.
In the other play-off, Latvia and Gibraltar drew 0–0. Thanks to a 1–0 win in the first leg, Latvia remain in League C, while Gibraltar staying in League D.
