French film starEmmanuelle Béart joins international jury at LuxFilmFest

Béart rose to prominence in 1986 with her performance in Manon des Sources, directed by Claude Berri. Her portrayal of Manon Cadoret earned her the César Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Over the course of her career, she has worked extensively in both theatre and cinema, first in France and later on the international stage. She also appeared in Mission: Impossible, directed by Brian De Palma.

In 2023, Béart made her directorial debut with the documentary Un silence si bruyant. Beyond her film work, she has served for more than two decades as a Global Ambassador for UNICEF.

At LuxFilmFest, she will sit on the international jury alongside Spanish director Rodrigo Sorogoyen, British musician Peter Doherty, Finnish actress Alma Pöysti, Argentine director and screenwriter Lisandro Alonso, and Luxembourgish-Singaporean director and cinematographer Rae Lyn Lee.
