Mechanical Engineer - Fire suppression (m/f)

Your mission: drive technical product development

As part of the Engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems, from early concept and prototyping to industrialization and certification.

You will play a key role in delivering reliable, high-performance technical solutions while supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key responsibilities

System Design & development

Contribute to the design and development of fire suppression systems from prototype to production
Develop CAD models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings

Perform engineering calculations related to flow dynamics, valve capacity, and mechanical strength

Testing & validation

Support system prototyping and laboratory testing campaigns (setup, execution, data analysis, reporting)

Participate in defining testing procedures and ensure compliance with international standards and certifications

Actively support and attend fire testing activities, including pre-fire tests and witness fire tests

Risk assessment & technical support

Provide technical expertise during FMEA sessions and risk assessments

Collaborate closely with engineering, laboratory, sales, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time

Supplier & certification interface

Engage with suppliers and external partners to ensure quality of critical components

Prepare technical documentation and manage approval and certification processes with relevant authorities

Innovation & continuous improvement

Continuously propose new technical solutions and contribute to product innovation

Support the development of advanced fire suppression technologies


Required technical skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Minimum 5 years of R&D engineering experience (experience in fire suppression, hydraulics, or fluid systems is an asset)

Strong expertise in mechanical design and modeling

Proficiency in CAD software (Siemens NX or equivalent)

Solid knowledge of engineering calculations (flow capacity, pressure drop, strength analysis)

Experience with laboratory testing, data acquisition, and analysis

Knowledge of industry standards and certification processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365

Fluent English (additional languages are beneficial)

Availability to travel for product development and testing activities
