Key Responsibilities

Trade Compliance Execution

• Lead technical assessments of products, technologies, and technical data to determine proper export classifications (ECCN, USML, etc.)
• Perform jurisdiction and classification analyses for complex aerospace systems, subsystems, and components
• Develop and implement technical solutions to enable compliant international transactions
• Create and review technical assistance agreements, manufacturing license agreements, and other export authorizations
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Trade Compliance teams to integrate compliance requirements into supplier selection and management processes

Global Supply Base Development

• Support the strategic expansion of Blue Origin's international supply base by providing trade compliance guidance and solutions
• Conduct technical evaluations of foreign suppliers' capabilities while ensuring compliance with export/import regulations
• Develop compliance strategies for international sourcing initiatives that minimize risk while enabling business

Objectives: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline compliant international procurement

Compliance Program Enhancement

• Design and implement scalable trade compliance processes and tools to support growing international operations
• Develop technical guidelines and training materials to educate internal teams on export/import requirements
• Participate in internal audits and assessments of trade compliance processes
• Stay current with changes to export control regulations (ITAR, EAR, sanctions) and assess impact on supply chain operations
• Support the implementation of trade compliance technology solutions
