Your role
The successful candidate will pursue doctoral research in group actions, geometric structures, and smooth dynamics under the supervision of Prof. K. Melnick, within the Department of Mathematics at the University of Luxembourg. The doctoral researcher will develop an original research project leading to a PhD thesis and is expected to actively contribute to the scientific activities of the research group, including participation in seminars, workshops, conferences, and collaborative research initiatives.
In addition to conducting high-level research, the doctoral researcher will support the teaching mission of the Department of Mathematics through tutorial sessions, grading, and other pedagogical activities, within the framework of the university's doctoral training requirements. The candidate may also contribute to outreach and dissemination activities aimed at promoting mathematics and research to the broader academic community and the public.

General information:
The yearly gross salary for every PhD at the UL is EUR 41976 (full time).
